Project Description:S.E.M. Construction (SEM) has been engaged by Doug Tarry Homes Limited (DTH) to act as the construction manager for a project aimed at providing affordable housing on behalf of Eastwood Housing Corporation (EHC), the owner and end user. The project seeked to develop approximately 50-75 affordable housing units on a greenfield site located within the city limits, addressing the increasing demand for such housing.
S.E.M. Construction has effectively utilized the zoning regulations to create a site plan and floor plans, enabling the development of 82 affordable housing units across five stories, encompassing a total area of 72,500 square feet. S.E.M. intends to integrate sustainable practices into the building’s structure and systems, including adherence to passive survivability standards.
