Project Description:S.E.M. Construction successfully executed the comprehensive interior fit-out for the CL2+ and CL3 laboratory project at Western University. This project presented unique challenges and complexities. Stringent regulations, specialized construction methods, and the use of sensitive materials were essential to achieving the highest standards of containment. Prior to equipment delivery, extensive Factory Acceptance Testing (F.A.T.) was conducted, along with commissioning, leak testing, and quality control, all of which were critical to the project’s successful completion.
Additionally, renovation work was carried out on the 4th floor to refresh and optimize laboratory space for student use while the primary work on the 6th floor was underway.
